Symptoms
.New version.: improved stability and new iteration logic (first release so may have bugs) TeamsCarousel is an extension designed to pin and unpin participants of a Microsoft Teams call in order to see all of them like in a security carousel. Make Microsoft Edge your own with extensions that help you personalize the browser and be more productive. When it comes to Microsoft Teams, Edge Insider works functionally the same as using Google Chrome. This means great features like video calling and desktop sharing extensions for Chrome announced earlier in the year will work in the new version of Edge, too.
When trying to join Microsoft Teams using Edge or Internet Explorer, Teams will loop, stop working, or fail to sign in.
Cause
Your organization utilizes Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer. The Teams web-based application will not correctly sign in if Teams are not allowed as a trusted site.
Resolution
Make the following changes to IE or Edge settings from the Control Panel, either with Administrator rights or a Group Policy Object:
- Under Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced, accept First-Party and Third-Party cookies, and check the box for Always allow session cookies.
- Select Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites, and add the following URLs:
- https://*.teams.microsoft.com

Always validate and allow all trusted URLs for Teams and the requirements from the following document: Office 365 URLs and IP address ranges.

Microsoft Teams For Windows 10
Today, we're announcing that Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) by this time next year.
Beginning November 30, 2020, the Microsoft Teams web app will no longer support IE 11.
Beginning August 17, 2021, the remaining Microsoft 365 apps and services will no longer support IE 11.
Note
Using Internet Explorer mode in the new Microsoft Edge will not extend IE 11 access to Microsoft 365 appsand services beyond the dates listed above.
Additionally, we will be ending support for the legacy version of the Microsoft Edge desktop app on March 9, 2021, in favor of thenew Microsoft Edge. This means that the legacy version of the desktop app will no longer receive security updates.

Microsoft will continue to support Internet Explorer 11. Internet Explorer is a component of the Windows operating system andfollows the Lifecycle Policy for the product on which it is installed. For more information, gohere. For customers who have business-critical, line-of-business (LOB) apps running on IE 11 today, IE 11 continues to be a supported browser.

Customers with Microsoft Unified Support can reach out to that support service for help transitioning to the new Microsoft Edge.
